DENYS PEREZ

2020 BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS GRADUATE

EMPHASIS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN

I am a graphic designer by career and an illustrator by nature. My body of work is very influenced by drawing and I often incorporate it into my design projects. On the other side, I keep exploring and further developing my techniques and skills inside my design practices: like photography, typography, logo making, and others.

Both illustration and design are two important parts of myself and they are equally useful to communicate, organize, and influence people’s lives. I also have fun doing other art projects; some of them in the digital medium like collages and illustrations and some made by hand like artist books.

CHECK BEHIND THE SCENES OF HIS THESIS PROJECT

BFA THESIS PROJECT

My intention for the BFA Show hinged on the typographical exploration of the book “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. Based on the several stages of change that Alice undergoes on the outside, and her own reflections about them in the inside. The pieces vary in height according to what the text implies and uses the allegory of falling into the rabbit hole as looking inside Alice’s mind itself.
